Financing is available from NSPI on pre-approved applications. Once the application is completed and financing has been accepted you will be contacted for your installation date. Traditionally people save the same or more than their payment. NSPI offers financing at 7% for 3-10 years. An application must be completed and submitted for approval before installation. Monthly payments will be added to your NSPI power bill.

Rebates starting at $300 are offered for electrically heated customers through Efficiency Nova Scotia. Also if you have a ducted system and are looking at upgrading rebates are also offered. Basically Efficiency Nova Scotia gives you free money towards improving your present electrical system – not viable for oil based customers. This program is offered for Residential and Commercial customers. Just fill out the Green Rebate form and submit with your quote and wait to hear if your approved.

Once you have been approved for rebates or financing (including credit approval), you can purchase and install your new equipment.

After the installation is complete, submit the Green Heat Completion Form. This must be completed within six months (60 days for financing) from your pre-approval date. Be sure to include: Photographs of the new equipment

For installations of wood/pellet systems, identify the Wood Energy Technology Transfer (WETT) certified installer or inspector and their WETT number.

You will receive your rebate within 6-8 weeks. If you chose financing, we will visit your home to verify the installation and your identification. Upon confirmation, we will pay your contractor directly within 6-8 weeks
